Susie Rogers
Sport: Swimming

Susie Rodgers has been a regular member of the British Para-Swimming Team since 2011 and has won medals at every level of the sport including three medals at the London 2012 Paralympics and two world medals in 2015 in Glasgow. 

A the 2015 IPC World Championships in Glasgow, Susie retained her gold medal in the 34pt 4x100m Medley Relay and claimed bronze medal in the S7 100m Freestyle Event.

Susie qualified for London 2012 across five individual events the following season and won her first Paralympic medals with individual bronzes in the S7 100m Freestyle and S7 400m Freestyle as well as 34pt 4x100m Freestyle Relay bronze.

Susie Rodgers has made rapid progress in Para-Swimming since taking the sport seriously after being inspired by the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.

Susie recently competed in the Rio Paralympics, coming away with a Gold medal in the S7 50m Butterfly and a bronze in the S7 50m Freestyle (add in any other medals). She will most likely retire now, but is a fantastic ambassador for the sport and for local Greenwich athletes.
