Zoe holds the British clean and jerk record.  In October 2010 she won a bronze medal in the women's 58kg division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, her first senior international competition, to become the first English woman to win a Commonwealth Games weightlifting medal.
 
In May 2012, Zoe was chosen, as part of Team GB, to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics in London. She competed in the Women's 58kg division and she took the British record with a clean and jerk lift of 121.0 kg (267 lb).  The record previously stood at 119.0 kg (262 lb).  With a snatch of 90.0 kg (198 lb) she was placed 12th in her weight-class with a total of 211.0 kg (465 lb).
 
Zoe was training as a gymnast when "Team Greenwich needed a girl weightlifter when I was about 12 so I tried it out and it turned out I was pretty good at it".    

Main Achievements To Date:

 

  • January 2013: Silver medal at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney.

  • July 2012: Competed for Team GB at London 2012 Olympics in the 58kg category on 30 July at the Excel Centre, finishing 12th overall and setting a new British record in the clean and jerk of 121kg.

  • May 2012: 63kg British Senior Champion (setting new Under 23s British records of 94kg snatch, 117kg clean and jerk and 211kg total

  • April 2012: 4th place in European Senior Championships, setting new 58kg Under 23s British records of 92kg snatch, 116kg clean and jerk and 208kg total (Antalya, Turkey)

  • November 2011: competed in first World Senior Championships at 63kg (Paris, France)

  • May 2011: 63kg Silver medallist at World Youth Championships (Lima, Peru)

  • October 2010: 58kg Bronze medallist at Commonwealth Games - England’s first ever female Commonwealth weightlifting medallist and youngest in history (Delhi, India)

  • May 2010: 58kg Silver medallist at European Youth Championships (Valencia, Spain)

  • February 2010: English 63kg Champion

  • September 2009: 5th place at European Youth Championships at 58kg (Eilat, Israel)

  • July 2009: 6th place at European Junior Championships at 58kg (Landskrona, Sweden)

  • May 2009: 8th place at World Youth Championships at 58kg (Chiang Mai, Thailand)

  • May 2009: 58kg British Under 17s Champion

  • April 2009: 58kg British Junior Champion

  • March 2009: 58kg British Schools Champion

  • December 2008: Named BOA  Weightlifting Athlete of the Year

  • October 2008: 53kg Commonwealth Youth Games Champion - aged 14 – (Pune, India)

  • August 2008: Taken by BOA to Olympic Games in Beijingas part of their Britain’s Olympic Ambition team

  • July 2008: 53kg clean and jerk silver medallist at European Youth Championships (Amiens, France)

  • October 2007: 53kg British Under 18s Champion (equalled Senior snatch record of 66kg, aged just 13)

  • May 2007: 53kg British Under 17s Champion – this was Zoe’s first national competition and she broke Under 18s records in snatch, clean and jerk and total that had stood for up to 11 years
